Online Coaching & Personal Training

I’m still seeing my health care provider (HCP). Can I still train with you?

If you’re currently injured and in pain, Online Coaching might not be the best option for you at the moment. Depending on your location, we provide a mobile service for soft tissue injuries. Consulting your HCP on what exercises you can perform is the safest option. We are happy to discuss your current situation and advise you on options. Please contact us for more information.

Can you help me with back pain?

If its general backaches, we have had great results working with clients completely online. However, if your pain is acute and you’re in doubt, please consult your GP for a consultation. Our mobile service is available in the London boroughs of Bexley and Bromley . We are happy to discuss your current situation and advise you on options. Please contact us for more information.

I don’t have any previous injuries, but I still want to train with you. Is this possible?

We’ve trained lots of clients who have benefited from our training with no previous injuries. Our integrated training system is designed to provide results with body transformations. It is a continuum of exercise progression, so where your starting point begins depends on your exercise history and training experience. We concentrate on pushing you towards your goals, but at the same time, you will have the added security of how we structure our programmes, because of the injury preventative qualities.

How much support do you offer?

Each week we arrange individual times to contact our clients. These times are used for routine check-ins, movement assessments, or to answer any questions.

How much email support do I get?

Depending on the training package you choose, clients can send emails at any point of the week, but we’ll respond to it at a predetermined time each week. There are guidelines to follow which enables us to provide better and more focused support in a timely matter.

Guidelines

Clients can send one email a week
The email must be all bullet points
Each bullet point is a question or comment
Each bullet point is a maximum of 3 sentences
There can be an unlimited amount of bullet points
We are always available in case of emergency

The phone call check-ins consist of what?

Phone appointments are scheduled via Calendly, which is a scheduling application. These 15-minute calls are used to touch base directly, see how things are going and discuss any issues.

How do I pay?

Payments are made via PayPal. You’ll either be set up on a monthly auto-bill that renews automatically, or we can set up one-time payments or payments for a certain amount of time. We’ll set up a PayPal subscription link that expires after a certain amount of charges. For example, if you purchase a 12-week training package from us, a link will be created to charge you once a month for three months, and then stops. We can set up what you’re comfortable with.

How do I cancel?

If you would like to cancel your payments with us, written confirmation is required via email. Once received, we will cancel your programme and any further payments. RTF is committed to providing you with exceptional customer service. Our Coaches are professional, educated and experienced and will provide you with the best service possible. We do not issue refunds for our services. We do not issue refunds on any of our training packages that are purchased.

Can I put my training on hold?

Going away during your training program, that’s fine. If you’re going to be away for a minimum of 2 weeks, then you can give us at least two weeks’ notice, and we’ll be able to put your training on hold. At the end of your training package, we’ll simply credit that time back. You would be able to hold your training for a maximum of one 2-week period for every three months of training.

What’s the movement assessment for?

The initial and on-going movement assessment is used to document movement patterns key to
healthy function. By screening these movement patterns, the assessment will identify functional

limitations and asymmetries.

By finding limitations and asymmetries, corrective exercise strategies would be used to restore
mechanically sound movement patterns to help mitigate injury and improve overall performance.

Benefits of the Functional Movement Assessment

  • Improves functional fitness and athletic performance
  • Contributes to reduce the potential for training and sports injuries
  • Provides a simple grading system to assess movement patterns
  • Identifies physical imbalances, limitations and weaknesses
  • Helps to individualize training and conditioning programs for specific results
  • Helps to identify the potential cause of micro-trauma as well as chronic injuries concerning movement asymmetries and weakness

Assessments are carried out either in person or remotely via Skype.

I don’t have access to particular equipment?

Our application form has a question on where you train. Please provide details on what equipment you do have access to, and we’ll be able to discuss what the best training options are with you.

What Nutritional support do I get?

We have two training packages which contain nutritional guidance. One of the first steps we take in these packages is to determine what level of experience you have and what results in you want to achieve. It’s important to keep in mind that every one of us is different and what works for one person will not work for another; this is where our coaching becomes an important factor because it helps determine the right nutritional guidance for you. We try to keep things as realistic and flexible as possible. The key to success is to find the right diet that YOU can adhere to long term.

Please contact us for more details.

What’s the difference between training packages?

All our packages are designed differently for specific individual needs. Please contact us for more details.

What happens when my training package finishes?

We find our clients stay on with us, so it would be a case of adjusting your programme so we can continuously provide the best service to achieve your goals.

How do I get started?

Please fill out our application form. Once reviewed, we’ll get right back to you.

Soft Tissue Treatment

I’m not sure about committing to a 6-week plan straight away?

This is completely understandable. We recommend booking a one-off treatment first. You’ll then be able to see if the 6-week plan is right for you.

What happens during the treatment?

After meeting your therapist, you’ll be asked to fill out a health history questionnaire. This is used by the therapist to gain subjective information about your health. The valuable information this provides will be used to create a safe, effective treatment plan. The therapist will then take you through some postural and movement assessments. These are used to observe any imbalances in your posture or movement, which may be contributing to your condition. To help find your current level of function, active and passive tests are used to find your joint ranges of motion, muscle strength, and length. Before the treatment begins and with your consent, the therapist will then assess the condition of the tissue by using palpation techniques with their hands.

Overall, the initial assessment is a very important part of the treatment. We’ll be able to discuss each part of the assessment with you before the treatment begins.

What to wear?

We require you to keep your underwear on during the treatment. We use towels on areas not being treated. If you feel more comfortable wearing shorts, we recommend wearing loose/baggy shorts to allow access to the upper legs. The important thing for us is that you feel comfortable during your treatment.

What happens if I’m unable to schedule a treatment?

If you’re going away on holiday and unable to schedule a treatment in a specific month, that’s fine; you’ll be able to make that treatment up in the following week. We would require at least 4-weeks’ notice of any changes to our scheduled treatments.

How do I pay?

Payment is due after the first treatment is booked and made via PayPal. We’ll send you a PayPal link via email. The link will direct you to a payment page. If you’re not registered with PayPal, it is very quick to do. However, if you’re more comfortable with bank transfer, that’s fine. We will send you an invoice with our details attached. We can set up what you’re comfortable with.

How do I cancel treatments?

You will need to contact us with at least 24 hours notice to cancel or change your appointment.

How long do treatments plans last?

Our current plans last for 6-weeks. Please let us know of any holidays before your block of treatments begin.

Is the consultation included in the 1-hour treatment?

The consultation is included in the treatment time. However, we always block out extra time to allow for this process. To help reduce the time, we’ll ask you to fill out our online application form which gives the therapist an understanding of your health before you meet.

How many times will I see the therapist within the 6-week package?

Your therapist will discuss their treatment plan with you after the first treatment. This will include the best treatment schedule.

What happens when the 6-week plan finishes?

Many of our clients stay on to have regular soft tissue treatments or go on to use our online coaching or 1-2-1 personal training services.
