I have been training with Ben for some time now, and he has helped me with some things both physically and mentally. I’m a 29 years old IT Consultant, and as you can imagine, I spend the majority of my time sitting at a desk in front of a computer working. Before starting on my program, I had no motivation for training or dieting and my lower back hurt and just felt very weak.

 

Since receiving Online Coaching with Ben, I noticed a huge improvement with my body as I lost a lot of weight, gained muscle and my motivation towards training have changed, and as a bonus, my back stopped hurting.

I am 50 and, despite enjoying running, I have always struggled to get the benefit from using a gym before. However, I have trained biweekly with Ben for the last 12 months, and he has focused on building up my core stability and muscle strength. I feel stronger and fitter than ever and have a BMI of 23 for the first time in years (without dieting!)

I trained with Ben back in 2007 through to 2010, but due to him moving location we stopped training. He’s now moved back into my area, and we’ve recently started training together again. Ben is currently helping me gain strength and increase mobility to enhance performance for a cycling sportive (cycling road race).

On top of the cycling training, Ben helps me manage my weight and reduce work-related stresses that can creep up from time to time. He’s able to personalise exercise programs to meet your goals while finding the right balance of keeping them challenging yet achievable.

My life can be pretty hectic with work along with having two young kids. I found myself getting too caught up at work and neglecting my health.

I struggled to find motivation to get to the gym. I like to run, and I’m currently training for a marathon. With Ben’s help my self-discipline and motivation went from strength to strength, and I’m now feeling healthier and running faster than ever.

Professional, patient and persistent!  – Ben has been working on me after I had a serious accident leading to months of bed and inactivity. I can honestly say that the results have been way beyond my expectations and I’m able to do things I haven’t been able to for years – way better than most of my physios.

Ben has trained me for a few years now, and I have found him to be an excellent trainer. Ben listens to what you want to get out of your training sessions and produces a programme to suit your needs. As Ben continually refines and makes changes to my training I don’t ever feel it’s becoming repetitive. Ben is particularly good at identifying weaknesses or past injuries and providing programmes to strengthen these areas.

I started training with Ben in a bid to lose stubborn weight and generally tone up. After a detailed health assessment, Ben designed a weight training programme and diet regime that was achievable for me. Importantly Ben taught me about nutrition, what makes a good diet and about calorie deficits to maintain a healthy weight within a very busy lifestyle.

His education of me was subtle but effective! Each workout is tailored to me, and I feel and see the difference in my body.

My strength and fitness have improved immensely. He has set me in a life-long road of fitness and care for myself.

Ben is a committed, but fun instructor and I can’t recommend him enough!

Following a long-standing running knee injury and subsequent operation, I was keen to get back my fitness without causing further damage to my knee and also to enable me to continue exercising as part of my self-help treatment for depression.  Exercise is a key factor for my mental and physical health.

I therefore decided to work with Ben as my personal trainer as he had experience of working with people recovering from sports injuries and he seemed calm and non-shouty!  He spent time understanding my sporting history and knee injury and gave me a very gentle programme to start, regularly checking for any negative impact on my knee and adjusting the programme as required. This helped to reduce my anxiety about causing damage to my knee but also to focus my training in a measured way, as I have a tendency to do too much too soon.

Using the app has been really helpful, enabling me to see how to do the exercises correctly with Ben’s helpful videos and log my progress, as well as keeping in regular contact with Ben.  This is particularly helpful as my job means I’m not able to visit the gym at regular times during the week.

I’m delighted with the progress I’ve made thanks to the graduated programme Ben has given me, along with his calm and supportive guidance.  I’ve already lost 3cm off my hips, am able to walk up hills without getting out of breath and I’m starting to feel fitter and less depressed.  All this without any knee pain!

I started training with RTF about a year ago. I had been a regular gym goer for the last 15 years but had avoided doing weights due to concerns over aggravating a prolapsed disc in my back. On chatting with Ben I realised he could design a program that would enable me to
start doing a weight program but always protecting my back. On starting the program I realised that all the exercises provided were different ways of doing the exercises I had seen others doing in the gym but this time protecting my back.

I almost exclusively utilise the online system/app as I travel a lot with work and am unable to be at my home gym a lot. The app lets me track my programs, and more importantly get advice from Ben when I am unable to replicate the exercises in my plan due to lack of equipment in the hotel gyms i utilise. So far I am really pleased with my progress and have noticed my body shape changing in line with what I wanted from the program. Ben is very easy to get along with and is always available to provide advice and suggestions for changes to the programme. I would highly recommend him.
